Our People

Jack Gindler CPA, CFP® graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Austin Chapter of the TSCPA. Jack became one of the founding partners of our firm after 5 years with Hofer & Gilbert CPAs. Jack was choosen as the Austin Chapter's Young CPA of the Year in 1991. He has been an accounting instructor at Austin Community College and has taught for several professional CPA review courses. In 2003 Jack completed his designation as a certified financial planner, and has been designated by the AICPA as a Personal Financial Specialist.

Earcle E. Chappell Jr. CPA graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Austin Chapter of the TSCPA. Earcle holds the AICPA's certificate of Educational achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing. Earcle became on of the founding partners of our firm after 12 years with The University of Texas and 5 years with Chappell Koch CPA's. He is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and has been an officer and director of serveral local hunting and fishing organizations.

Gary L. Morrison CPA graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Austin Chapter of the TSCPA. Gary became one of the founding partners of our firm after 3 years with a national firm and 15 years as a partner at Garcia & Morrisons CPAs. Gary has been auditing non-profit and governmental entities for over 35 years. He has been an officer and board member of Pan American Junior Golf Classic Inc., Cherry Creek Optimist and Optimist International South Central Texas District. Gary has held positions on several advisory boards and steering committees, for community outreach organizations.

Our History

Gindler, Chappell, Morrison & Co. P.C., Certified Public Accountants, is located in Austin, Texas, and provides professional auditing, tax, accounting and management advisory services to clients throughout Central Texas.

In 1990, the accounting firms of Hofer & Gindler Associates; Gary L. Morrison (formerly Garcia, Morrison & Company); and Chappell Koch merged into the firm Gindler, Chappell, Morrison & Co. P.C. The goal of the merger, and in fact what has happened, is the formation of one of the largest locally owned auditing firms in Austin.

Under audit partners Gary L. Morrison, CPA and Earcle E. Chappell, Jr., CPA,, Gindler, Chappell, Morrison & Co. P.C. has become large enough to provide private businesses, the governmental sector, and not-for-profit organizations with quality auditing services completed in compliance with regulatory requirements and within client budget constraints, while at the same time providing clients the partner level experience and counseling gained through 30+ years of providing auditing services.

Gindler, Chappell, Morrison, & Co., P.C. presently serves as independent auditor to organizations and companies in the Austin and Central Texas area as follows: 1 private company, 50 non-profit organizations, 2 independent school districts, and 3 employee benefit plans.

With constantly changing audit, accounting and tax rules and regulations, we utilize the most modern technology to help solve client problems in a creative yet sound manner.

With the latest in computers and software, extensive professional development and personal individual growth required of each firm member, Gindler, Chappell, Morrison is meeting the challenges of a fast-changing profession and business environment.
